Privacy Policy
The short version
Nightsense has no sleep tracking and no ads. We keep what's needed to run your account, your stories and Luna, you can download or delete it any time in Profile → Privacy Center, and we never sell it.
1.Who we are
Nightsense is made by Zentiq Technologies Private Limited, India (“we”, “us”), which is responsible for your personal data under this policy. For anything about your privacy, write to support@nightsense.app.
2.Your account
If you sign up, we keep the email address and name you sign up with, your plan, your favourites and playlists, and the stories you create.
3.Your answers in onboarding
Your answers stay on your phone, except your age group: if you're signed in, it's saved with your account so the age limits below follow you to a new phone. They're sent along with your messages to Luna so her replies fit you, and if you're signed in a few of them (like sounds you like) are saved as notes you can see and delete in Luna's notebook. On iPhone, Nightsense may also ask Apple for your age range (never your birthday); you choose whether to share it.
4.Talking with Luna
Your messages go to our server and then to the AI company that runs the model that writes Luna's replies. It may use them only to answer you, not keep them or train on them. You agree to this in the app first, and can turn it off in Profile → Privacy Center. If you're signed in, your conversations are stored with your account. Luna keeps notes about you only if you say yes, and you can see, change or delete every note in her notebook or switch memory off. As a guest, your messages aren't stored: we keep only an anonymous device ID and counts of how the chat is used, never the words.
5.Voice
In voice mode, what you say is sent to a speech-to-text provider to turn it into text; the recording isn't kept. Luna's spoken replies aren't kept either.
6.Your voices
If you add a voice, Nightsense uses your recording to make an AI copy of that voice, and uses it only for stories in the account it was made for (yours, or the account of the person who invited you to record it). A speech-to-text provider may process the recording to check it, and keeps nothing. We keep the recording as proof that the voice was given with permission. Delete a voice and its copy is deleted with it; the recording is kept 30 days after that (a year if the voice was reported), then deleted.
7.Stories, Tell the Moon and covers
What you write to create a story or in Tell the Moon is sent to the AI companies that run the models we use to write stories and the Moon's answers, and to paint a story's cover (from its scene only). Stories are read aloud by AI voices. Stories you create are stored with your account.
8.Sleep Together
If you use Sleep Together, the name you choose, your connections and when you listen together are stored so the people you connect with can see them.
9.Gifts
If you gift a story, anyone with its link can listen to it in a browser until it's saved, and then only the person who saved it. We count that a gift was played, never when. You can remove a gift's link at any time.
10.Goodnight messages
If someone records a goodnight for you, their recording is stored so it can play before your stories once you've heard it and said yes. It's never used to make an AI voice or to train AI. They can replace or remove it from their own link at any time, and you can remove it too.
11.Notifications
If you allow notifications, we keep a token for your phone so we can tell you when someone knocks or asks in Sleep Together, a goodnight arrives, or a story you asked about is ready.
12.Invitations
If you join through someone's link or code, we note who invited you, so a free month can go to you both once you subscribe.
13.Purchases
Subscriptions are paid through the App Store or Google Play. We receive your subscription status, never your card details.
14.How the app is used
We record which features are used (for example, that a story was played) and crash reports, to fix problems and improve the app. These go to our analytics provider. We don't use advertising SDKs and don't record your screen.
16.Reports and blocking
You can report Luna's replies, stories, goodnights, gifts and voices from where you see them, and block people in Sleep Together, goodnight senders and gift senders. We look at every report within 48 hours and remove what breaks our rules.
17.Keeping and deleting
We keep your data until you delete it or your account. In Profile → Privacy Center you can download everything stored with your account, delete this phone's data, or delete your account and everything stored with it. You can also ask us to delete your account at nightsense.app/delete-account.
18.Children
Nightsense isn't for children under 13. People under 18 can use sounds, music, bedtime stories and breathing; Luna's chat, making stories, Your Voice, Sleep Together, gifts and goodnights are for adults.
19.Not a medical service
Luna is an AI, not a doctor or a therapist, and Nightsense isn't an emergency service. If you're in danger or need medical help, call your local emergency number.
